The Florida Commission on Ethics found no probable cause in a complaint filed against Pensacola City Councilman Brian Spencer.
The commission found no cause to believe that Spencer had a voting conflict when he voted on a measure in February 2012 concerning a possible business associate that was doing business with the city.
An allegation that he used or disclosed information gained by his position that was not available to the general public in order to secure a benefit for himself or others was dismissed with a finding or no probable cause, as was an allegation that he corruptly misused his position to manipulate a city process for the benefit of a business associate.
