Multi Generational Workforce

If you have a multi-generational workforce then listen up.

A key piece of recent research shows that two-thirds of millennials plan to leave their current organization by 2020.

The two biggest reasons given:

— Lack of purpose beyond profit.

— Lack of leadership development opportunities.

Smart organizations need to know — and face — this fact and be prepared to counter it.

Smart organizations also need to know that millennials are not the only employees looking for a sign that their workplace is interested in more than the bottom line. Workers of every generation increasingly are looking to know that their workplaces are interested in purpose beyond profit.

That’s we why made “Purpose Beyond Profit” a key theme of EntreCon 2019, which runs Nov. 14-16 in downtown Pensacola. Register today here.

EntreCon will give you lots of opportunities to build on this theme. One such opportunity will be with keynote speaker Jon Gordon, whose book “The Power of Positive Leadership” is built around the heart of this principle. Gordon will share at EntreCon a comprehensive framework on positive leadership filled with proven principles, compelling stories and practical ideas you can put into practice.

Another chance you will have at EntreCon to learn to harness the power in every generation in your workplace will feature an expert panel who will help you bust myths about millennials and maximize all of the talent and power each generation brings to your organization — from Boomers to Xers to Millennials and soon Gen Z!

Our expert panel for Debunking Millennial Myths and Harnessing the Power of a Multi-Generational Workforce:

Our expert panel includes three generations:

Bert Thornton– Former President and Chief Operations Officer: Waffle House Inc.

Thomas Greek– Vice President, Learning, Development, and Commination: Navy Federal Credit Union

Alyssa Townsend– Project Manager: Bee Loud, Innisfree’s Digital Marketing Agency

Our experts know that like it or not, millennials are becoming the predominant generation in the workforce and the millennial generation is continuing to grow. Added to that Gen Z is hot on their heals.

We know that their advice and experience will help you share tools and strategies to develop more collaborative work environments and cohesive teams.

EntreCon will be full of wonderful learning opportunities — for you and your entire team. We’ve designed sessions to help you build and communicate a greater purpose beyond profit, develop your own leadership skills, and invest in your team’s skills as well.

Those skills will go a long way toward helping you avoid the huge cost of turnover.

Talent Management and HR did some calculations considering all the costs associated with employee turnover – including interviewing, hiring, training, reduced productivity, lost opportunity costs, etc.  Here’s what it really costs an organization:

·     For entry-level employees, it costs between 30-50 percent of their annual salary to replace them.

·     For mid-level employees, it costs upwards of 150 percent of their annual salary to replace them.

·     For high-level or highly specialized employees, you’re looking at 400 percent of their annual salary.

Join us next month and learn how you can avoid these costs, maximize the talent of your staff and gain a competitive edge by creating a culture that invests in and engages employees.

Register today at EntreCon®, November 14-16.
