Celebrating National Small Business Week (May 2-8)

In honor of National Small Business Week, our Leadership Development team has launched a GoFundMe campaign to provide FREE training and mentorship opportunities to small business owners and their employees.

According to the U.S. Small Business Administration, more than half of Americans either own or work for a small business, and they create nearly two out of every three new jobs in the U.S. each year.

Studer Community Institute offers a variety of programs to help small businesses grow and thrive, including its Accelerate Roundtable mentor program, Leadership Certification program and EntreCon®, its annual business, leadership and entrepreneurship conference.

Whether it’s $1, $5, $10, or $1,000 — all donations made to this week’s GoFundMe campaign have an incredible impact on those who apply for assistance.

“I have literally had a tab open for days, wanting to commit to the Accelerate Roundtable group, but even $25 is still causing me pause,” shares an anonymous Pensacola small business owner after receiving the news she would be enrolled in the program for free.

“I can't tell you how grateful I am to SCI and those who donated for proving me this opportunity. As a new business and entrepreneur, this is invaluable. Thank you! My day has been made and I am incredibly grateful. I can't wait to jump in and learn.”

Thanks to the support of donors and other grants, we were able to provide 1,236 individuals with scholarships to a variety of leadership development programs in 2020.

“It’s an honor to support such an amazing organization! Studer Community Institute is making a huge positive impact in our community,” says Nathan Pooley, Lead Pastor at Upper Room Church and longtime SCI donor.

Small business owners and entrepreneurs are working every day to grow, create jobs, and drive innovation. We hope this week’s crowdfunding campaign will help small businesses near and far gain access to mentorship and training to help their businesses succeed.
