Bushwacker 5K Run to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters

The Capt’n Fun Bushwacker 5K Run on Saturday, Aug. 1, is a good way to get some exercise, have some fun and benefit a good cause.

The 3.1 race, sponsored by the Capt’n Fun Runners, benefits Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Florida.

The course begins at Shoreline Park in Gulf Breeze and finishes at the Boardwalk on Pensacola Beach.

Race parking is on Pensacola Beach, and buses will transport runners from the Pensacola Beach to race start in Gulf Breeze.

Registration is $25 through July 25 and $30 on race day.

Packet pickup will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 30, at Running Wild; 4 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 31, at Capt’n Fun Beach Club, Pensacola Beach; and from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. SHARP Saturday, Aug. 1, at the Hooters/Bamboo Willie’s Deck on Portofino Boardwalk.
