Florida SBDC hosts lunch and learn workshops this fall

The Florida Small Business Development Center at the University of West Florida is hosting a new series of Lunch-N-Learn workshops in October, November and December 2016.

The sessions will be led by current clients of the Center and are part of a training series the Center plans. Mandy Fernandez, marketing and training specialist at the SBDC, said that speakers, workshops and sponsors are being added to the 2017 schedule, and the sessions in in Fort Walton Beach and Panama City are in development.

The workshops and speakers are:

Oct. 6: “I Quit my Job to be a Contractor, Now What?” taught by CDR (ret) Christine L. Yerkes, PE, President of Yerkes South, Inc.

Nov. 2: “More Dollars in Your Pocket: Small Business Cost Saving Tips” taught by Mikal "Butch" Kissick LCDR, USN (Ret) Owner, Wings Aviation.

Dec. 7: “Welcome to Entrepreneurship” taught by Brooke Johnson, Managing Partner, Crunchtime Cleaning.
