childcare survey results
The Children’s Movement of Florida conducted a statewide survey on the state of childcare. A little over 6,200 parents across the state participated.

The survey was highlighted the Built to Thrive Summit on Sept. 8, 2021. It is important because it is a tool that advocates at the Movement and in the Legislature will use to help set priorities for policies and ideas to help Florida families.

The key findings from the initial push of the survey:

— When parents think of quality, they think of the relationship between the teacher and their child.

— Parents mostly feel the quality of their child’s care could improve.

— Cost is the main barrier to access to childcare.

— The struggle to find care for infants and toddlers is profound.

What do you think about the findings? Does that match your experience?
