Big Moe Cason fundraiser

Just coming off his Food Network Chopped judging gig, award-winning BBQ Pit Master Moe Cason will be in Pensacola in April, and thanks to Pensacola Eggfest, Studer Community Institute will benefit.

Cason picked Pensacola as one of the locations in 2018 to introduce his new Big Moe Cason Pop Up BBQ restaurant events. Perfect Plain Brewing Company on Graden Street will host Big Moe from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on April 6.

Moe wants to show his appreciation to Pensacola for all the love they have shown him over the years, so he is partnering with Pensacola Eggfest to raise funds for SCI and their initiative around early learning and Brain Bags. SCI’s work to improve the quality of life in the Pensacola area through early education and workforce development is one of the projects and charitable organizations that Pensacola Eggfest will support this year.

When you choose your meal of either BBQ pork, ribs, chicken or brisket you will be choosing to support early learning.

You will be choosing to support research that is proving that the more words a child hears in their first three years, the stronger their brain structure can be, supporting reading and thinking skills they will need when they start school.

You will be choosing to help build a better Pensacola community — with good barbecue. That sounds like the best of both worlds to me.
