Teamwork makes everything better.

This spring a team of donors supported Studer Community Institute during the A Community Thrives campaign. This crowd-funded competitive grant contest, which ran through March and April, truly showcases the power of collective impact.

This week, we learned that the more than $8,000 you raised together is being matched with $5,000 from Gannett Foundation. The Pensacola News Journal — the local Gannett-owned newspaper — shared the good news, and the check, this week. Thank you so much for this wonderful gift.

Your gift is just one way we remember that in Pensacola, our strength comes from our commitment to each other. In building a vibrant community, outside help or investment is great, but communities have to author their own success story.

A town’s success story is a quilt — every square of a quilt holds a story and everyone has a piece to sew into its fabric. When you stitch those squares together, you make a whole that is stronger and more beautiful than any one piece is on its own.

Thank you for being part of SCI's story. We wouldn't be where we are without you.
