The Studer Community Institute’s TV show this week focuses on the remarkable rise of Escambia County’s high school graduation rate.

The state released the 2014-15 graduation rates two weeks ago. Escambia climbed from 66.1 percent to 72.7 percent, an all-time high for the Escambia County School District.

The Institute’s Shannon Nickinson and Reggie Dogan interview a trio of school district employees who played key roles in the graduation-rate increase:

  •  Michelle Taylor, director of workforce education.
  •  Lesa Morgan, director of high schools.
  •  Holly Busse, graduation coach.

Rachael Gillette, the Institute’s director of professional development, also appears on the show to talk about the Institute’s training plans for 2016. The first workshop of the year, “Designing an Effective Leadership Evaluation System,” is scheduled for Feb.  4 and 18. To register, click here.
