Wahooloween 2018
All Hallows Eve is still a couple of days away, but Studer Community Institute already has gotten a wonderful treat this Halloween season.
Wahoolloween 2018 was hosted by the Pensacola Blue Wahoos at the Community Maritime Park stadium on Oct. 26. More than 5,000 Avengers, princesses, Hogwarts students, and adorable animals and characters walked the concourse on a picture-perfect fall evening to trick-or-treat and have fun.
We had a great time participating, and we were the lucky beneficiary of some of the proceeds from the event.
So thank you to 23 community groups, businesses and organizations that sponsored tables to hand out treats and help usher in the season. You all helped generate nearly $3,000 to support SCI’s early learning programs.
That means that 120 families will receive vital in-hospital education about the importance of parent talk and interaction in healthy early brain development.
We know you all had fun, but we want to make sure that you know that you helped build a brain, build a life, and build a community.
