Women of Power conference set for March 19

The Gulf Coast African American Chamber of Commerce presents the second Women of Power business conference and luncheon at the University of West Florida on March 19.

The one-day event will be a chance to work with vendors, gain new insights, and connect with the Gulf Coast top executives, business leaders, and professionals.

Wendy Raquel Robinson is the keynote speaker at the Women of Power business conference hosted by the Gulf Coast African American Chamber of Commerce.

The UWF Office of Equity, Diversity and International Affairs is partnering with the Chamber for the event. Keynote speaker will be Wendy Raquel Robinson.

Audience know her as feisty sports manager Tasha Mack from BET’s series “The Game,” which recently ended its ninth and final season.

“I’m super excited, this is my first time visiting Pensacola,” said Robinson.

Robinson earned a 2015 NAACP Image Award nomination; she received the 2014 NAACP Image Award for outstanding actress in a comedy.

“We had to bring it this year after the phenomenal success of last year,”said Nicole Dixon, executive director of the Chamber. “What better way to continue our momentum than the amazing Wendy Raquel Robinson.”

Robinson graduated cum laude from Howard University with a bachelor’s degree in drama.
