British Trio Headlines Concert with PSC Choral Groups Feb. 10

Pensacola State College presents the British a cappella trio, Voice, along with the PSC Concert Chorale and Jazz Choir at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, in the Ashmore Fine Arts Auditorium, Building 8, on the Pensacola campus. [caption id="attachment_16138" align="alignright" width="200"]Voice_Burn,Franks,Couper Voice, from left: Emily Burn, Clemmie Franks and Victoria Couper[/caption]   The acclaimed ensemble of Emily Burn, Victoria Couper and Clemmie Franks met in the Oxford Girls Choir and formed Voice in 2006. Technically a close harmony group, their repertoire stretches from medieval France and Germany, through to traditional songs and contemporary compositions. In their concert, Voice will be performing songs about the beauty, heartache, and humor of love. The group also performs three numbers with the PSC Concert Chorale and Jazz Choir. Currently on its second tour of the United States, Voice previously has performed across the United Kingdom and in Europe. Recently, Voice toured the UK with a project called “Megaphones for the Unheard” that explored the voice of women through music and poetry. Tickets are adults, $11; seniors 60+, children and non-PSC students, $9; PSC staff/faculty/retirees and PSC Seniors Club members, $7; PSC students with current college ID, one free ticket.
