Airport stormwater pond contract goes to Pensacola City Council

A $2.8 million project to upgrade a stormwater retention pond at the Pensacola International Airport is heading to City Council next week for approval. Rick's Blog reports on the item:
The project is funded with the help of a $2.7 million grant from the Florida Department of Transportation, which the council approved in March 2014. The additional funding comes from the city’s airport and stormwater capital funds – $300,000 and $21,672 respectively.
