Artists go wild for Wildlife Sanctuary

The Wildlife Sanctuary of Northwest Florida hosts for an evening of art from 5 to 8 p.m. June 26 at Apple Annie’s in Seville Quarter at the annual “Artists Gone Wild” art auction fundraiser. Join guest emcee Marty Stanovich, for an evening of wild art and a silent auction. Admission is free and the event includes light refreshments. The silent auction art event and reception includes work by local artists, much of it inspired by local wildlife and scenery. The Wildlife Sanctuary is a nonprofit organization based in Pensacola that provides care to injured or orphaned indigenous wildlife, rehabilitating and releasing the animals whenever possible. The sanctuary works in cooperation with local, state, and federal wildlife agencies and provides educational outreach. It also acts as a permanent home for more than 100 animals that cannot be released, including deer, fox, and a variety of birds, including bald eagles, owls and hawks.
