Auditions announced for Seaplane: An All American Musical

Recent graduates in theatre, aspiring theater artists, semi-professional and professional performers are strongly encouraged to audition for Sea Plane: An All American Musical. Auditions are open for the August 2015 revival of the play and the production is seeking strong singers, dancers, and actors who are 18 and older and possess exceptional performing skills and experience. Auditions are asked to prepare 32 bars of a song from the musical theatre repertoire. Accompanist will be provided, but please bring sheet music clearly marked. There will be more acapella auditions. Those auditioning should be prepared for a brief movement and dance call as well. Callback times to be determined. The musical will be casting an ensemble of male and female versatile performers who appear 18-45 who will double and/or understudy principal roles including ingénue, comedic, and character types. Actors are encouraged to bring headshot and resume. Seaplane is directed/choreographed by local theater artist Emily Mixon and presented by co-creators Dr. Jack and Mrs. Carolyn Fleming and composer Allen Pote. Open auditions will be held on Monday and Tuesday, June 15 and 16 and June 22 and 23 at 6:30 p.m. at the Pensacola Children’s Chorus rehearsal space at 46 East Chase Street, Pensacola, FL 32502. Arrive early for check-in and to receive a number. Production Dates: August 28, 29, and 30 at the Pensacola Saenger Theatre.
