PRESS RELEASE -- Benny Russell Park located at 5417 West Spencer Field Road in Pace, will close April 14-17, for annual routine maintenance.

The extremely popular, community-built playground opened in 2001 and was named after Benny Russell, Santa Rosa School Superintendent from 1980-1999. The park is scheduled to reopen Friday, April 18. Signs notifying the public of the closure are posted.

In addition to general repairs, replacing mulch and paint touch up, volunteers from “One Love Florida,” a partnership of local churches and businesses who seek out projects to better the communities of Milton, Pace and Pensacola, will reseal the wooden playground equipment.
