C.A. Weis celebrates Walk Your Child to School Day

NEWS RELEASE — The Escambia County Board of County Commissioners is partnering with the Escambia County School Board and the Escambia/Santa Rosa Community Traffic Safety Team to recognize National Walk Your Child To School Day. A celebration will be hosted at 6:30 a.m. on Oct. 16, in front of Weis Elementary School, 2701 North Q St., Pensacola. Commissioner Lumon May, School Board Member Linda Moultrie and Superintendent Malcolm Thomas along with the Escambia/Santa Rosa Community Traffic Safety Team will welcome parents and students as they walk to school. This celebration is a collaborative effort between the Escambia County Board of County Commissioners, Escambia County School Board, Florida Department of Transportation and the Escambia/Santa Rosa Community Traffic Safety Team.
