Wanna have a catch?

Well, you’ll get the chance at Pensacola Bayfront Stadium this Saturday, in honor of the 25th anniversary of the 1989 film “Field of Dreams,” starring Kevin Costner, James Earl Jones and Burt Lancaster.

The Pensacola Blue Wahoos will host a free evening event for the public on Aug. 30 to celebrate the film’s anniversary on Pensacola’s own dream baseball field.

The full slate of events for the evening is as follows:

5:30 p.m. - Gates open at Pensacola Bayfront Stadium. Guest may play catch on the field, tour the locker rooms, play wiffle ball, bounce on inflatables, run the bases and more during the duration of the event.

6 p.m. - To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the movie, those in attendance will enjoy the movie Field of Dreams on the video board. In the film, Kevin Costner plays an Iowa corn farmer who hears voices and interprets them as a command to build a baseball diamond in his fields; he does, and the Chicago Black Sox come.

8 p.m. - Following the movie, at approximately 8 p.m., a spectacular fireworks show will light up the sky. Light refreshments will be available for purchase for the duration of the event. The event is rain or shine.
