The Greater Pensacola Chamber of Commerce will feature the Port of Pensacola’s Director Amy Miller to its monthly Gopher Club partnership breakfast on April 7, 2015. Miller will be providing attendees with comprehensive industry updates, as well as current Port of Pensacola developments. Upon her appointment, Miller became Pensacola's first female port director and is currently the only serving female port director in the State of Florida and the Gulf Coast. Miller also served as the trade development manager for the Port of Gulfport, Miss., where she was instrumental in attracting Crowley Maritime's Central America-Gulf container shipping service. An Ohio native, Miller holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from the E. W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University. The event - graciously sponsored by the Port of Pensacola User's Association (PPUA) - will take place on Tuesday, April 7, from 7:30 to 9 a.m., at the Pensacola Bay Center, 201 E. Gregory St. The Gopher Club is open to the public, but registration is required. The cost for Chamber partners is $15 and $25 for the general public. Registration ends at noon on Monday, April 6, and walk-ins will be charged an additional $5 at the door. Register online by visiting www.PensacolaChamber.com/Events. The Chamber's monthly Gopher Club breakfasts provide updates on important developments for the Chamber and the Greater Pensacola community.
