Choral Society hosts "Lyric Libations Gala"

The Choral Society of Pensacola will host the “Lyric Libations Gala” from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, at Dollarhide’s Music Center, 41 South Palafox Place.
The performance will feature vocalist Angie Powers and the Uptown Trio.
From “Boot Scootin' Boogie” to “New York, New York,” Powers performs songs across musical genres. Powers has performed with Kenny Loggins, George Carlin, Roy Clark, Johnny Nash and Brooke Benton. She also has been a featured entertainer at Disney World.
The Uptown Trio features Jim Armstrong on guitar, Tim Jackson on bass, and Sandy Spivey on saxophone. This veteran trio will accompany Powers and also perform instrumentals themselves.
The evening includes heavy hors d’oeuvres and wine, a 50/50 drawing and ticket give-aways for upcoming Choral Society concerts.
