City of Pensacola Parks and Recreation offers Winter basketball programs for youth

The City of Pensacola Parks and Recreation Department is offering several options for youth basketball this winter, including two leagues and a Basketball Boot Camp. The City’s youth recreation league for ages 5-14 will play at Malcolm Yonge Gym December through March. Registration begins October 27 and continues through November 26. The cost to participate is $72 for city residents and $83 for non-city residents. Participants can register in person at Woodland Heights Resource Center, 111 Berkely Drive or mail registration to the Athletics division at Exchange Park, 3200 East Lakeview Avenue, Pensacola, FL 32503. Registration forms are available online at playpensacola.com and at Woodland Heights Resource Center. The Fricker Resource Center is offering a youth basketball league and a Basketball Boot Camp this winter. The boot camp will be offered to boys and girls ages 4-14 from November 10 through December 9. Participants can register in person at Fricker Resource Center, 900 North F Street, beginning November 3. The cost is $10 for city residents and $20 for non-city residents. Fricker Resource Center will also offer a competitive youth basketball league for sixth, seventh, and eighth graders beginning in January. Registration will be held the entire month of December at Fricker Resource Center and the cost for individual players is $50 for city residents, $55 for non-city residents or $350 per team.
