The famed Budweiser Clydesdales paraded down Palafox Street Thursday as part of their visit to Pensacola.

Thanks to The Lewis Bear Company, eight Clydesdales and their historic red beer wagon visited downtown Pensacola.

These beautiful horses will be in Pensacola Nov. 7 and 8 for the 2014 Blue Angels homecoming air show.

The Budweiser Clydesdales have been the symbol of quality and tradition for Anheuser-Busch for 79 years. Today, the giant draft horses are used primarily for breeding and show. Each hitch travels with a Dalmatian breed dog. In the early post-Prohibition period, Dalmatians were bred and trained to protect the horses and guard the wagon when the driver went inside to make beer deliveries.
