Since it's never too early to start planning, here is a look at the highlights for the 2015-2016 Escambia School District calendar.
— Teachers return to schools on Monday, Aug. 10.
— Students report on Monday, Aug. 17.
— Labor Day holiday Sept 7.
— Teacher planning day, Oct. 12, no school.
— Veterans Day holiday, Nov. 11.
— No school Nov. 25. Thanksgiving break is Nov. 26-27.
—Winter break, Dec. 21-Jan. 1, 2016. Teachers return on Jan. 4; students return on Jan. 5.
— Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, Jan. 18, 2016.
— Teacher planning day, Feb. 15, 2016.
— Spring break, March 21-25, 2016.
— The last day of school for students is May 26. For staff, the Memorial Day will be observed on May 30, 2016. The last working day for teachers will be May 31, 2016.
