Events in Escambia County Schools this week include: — Escambia High School’s Winter Band Concert: 6:30 p.m. Dec.1, school gym. For more information, contact the school at 850-453-3221. — All County Orchestra Performance: 7:30 p.m. Dec. 2, Saenger Theatre. For more information, contact, 850-469-5311. — Florida IT Career Alliance Press Conference: 3:30 to 5 p.m. Dec. 3, Edward M. Chadbourne Library at Pensacola State College, Room 2051. Event will recognize high school and college educational partners, to include Workman Middle School and Pine Forest High School, as well as Pensacola State College. Schools who partner with the Alliance receive funds to help improve their technology and computing programs. The goal of the conference, and this partnership between the IT Alliance and Escambia County Schools, is to highlight increased opportunities for student engagement in IT classes, computer science, computer engineering. An additional goal of the partnership is to encourage partnerships between industry and educational institutions that work toward the future placement of students in the technology and computing career fields. — MSA Marine I Honors 3B Presentation and Open House: Noon Dec. 4, Booker T. Washington High School. The school’s MSA Marine I Honors students will present the fourth annual presentation outlining their water quality assessment of Bayou Texar. For more information, contact Edward Bauer at Washington High School at 850-494-7297. — WashingtonHigh fourth annual Charity Chili Bowl: 5 to 9 p.m. Dec. 4. in the Art classrooms. Students handmade ceramic bowls and other arts and crafts items that will be for sale during this event.  All the proceeds are going toward the Art Department with 10 percent of their profits going to the Wildlife Sanctuary of Northwest Florida. There will be live music, a chili cook off, art and more.  So come out, buy a bowl for $15, and enjoy an evening of ART, MUSIC, and CHILI Wildcat Artist Style!!! Booker T. Cook Performance of “Alice in Wonderland”: 6 p.m. Dec. 4 at the school. For more information, contact the school at 850-595-6826. —  Bailey Middle School’s Winter Concert: 6 p.m. Dec. 4. For more information, contact the school at 850-432-6121. — South's Best Robotics Championship, Dec. 6-7 at Auburn University: Woodham Middle School placed 2nd overall against a field of 14 other area middle and high schools at the recently held 2014 B.E.S.T. Robotics Competition at the University of West Florida.  Woodham will be competing for their sixth consecutive year, in the South’s BEST competition against the top 50 BEST Robotics teams east of the Mississippi River.
