Escambia Sheriff David Morgan invites the public to the Neighborhood Watch Academy class on Nov. 18. The class will take place at the Sheriff’s Main Administration Building, 1700 W. Leonard St. The Neighborhood Watch Program is one of the best means of eliminating and preventing criminal activity in your neighborhood. Attendees will learn how to organize a successful neighborhood watch program. Topics to be covered in this one evening seminar include: — The history of Neighborhood Watch Program. — How to make an effective call for a police response without fear of retribution. — How to make yourself less likely to be a victim or crime.
