Escambia Sheriff's Neighborhood Watch Academy enrolling now

Applications are now being accepted for the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office Neighborhood Watch Academy. The next session of the academy begins on May 19 at the Sheriff’s Office Administration building, 1700 W. Leonard St., Pensacola. This free training is provided to neighborhood volunteers for new and existing Neighborhood Watch programs or anyone interested in preventing crime. The four-hour, one evening seminar begins with a complimentary meal at 5 p.m. Much of the curriculum covers basic safety and security tips for the home, anonymous reporting and crime prevention through environmental design.
