‘Flicks on the Field’ brings free movies to Pace

Each Friday in March will bring “Flicks on the Field” to Pace.
The free community event offers recently-released family movies on a 43 foot screen starting at 7 p.m. on the fields of the Pace Athletic and Recreation Association Football Complex located at 3536 Limbaugh Lane in Pace, which is about a half mile north of the U.S. 90 and Woodbine Road intersection.
The 7 p.m. Friday movie lineup includes:
• March 6 - The Penguins of Madagascar
• March 13 - Big Hero 6
• March 20 - How to Train Your Dragon 2
• March 27 - Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb
Concessions are available or moviegoers can bring their own food and drinks. Smoking and alcohol are not permitted. In addition to offering a fun outdoor activity, Flicks on the Field is a fundraiser for PARA Youth Sports. A variety of event sponsorships ranging from $250 to $2,000 are available.
