Florida-Alabama TPO Meeting to be Held April 8 in the Santa Rosa BOCC Chambers

The Florida-Alabama Transportation Planning Organization (TPO) will hold a public meeting April 8 at 3 p.m., in the Santa Rosa County Board of County Commission Chambers, 6495 Caroline St. in Milton. The Technical Coordinating Committee (TCC) and Citizens’ Advisory Committee (CAC) will meet at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. respectively that same day and location. Action items on the agenda for TPO consideration are as follows: • The Intergovernmental Coordination and Review and Public Transportation Coordination Joint Participation Agreement; • Amending the FY15-19 Transportation Improvement Program for a signal upgrade and Extended Turn Lane on US 29 and Reconstruction of Muscogee Road (public hearing prior to vote); • FY15-16 Unified Planning Work Program amendments; • A minor update to the Congestion Management Process Plan; • The Transportation Alternatives Program ranked projects; • Negotiations on the General Planning Consultant contract; • A single designated Community Transportation Coordinator for Santa Rosa County; • The Citizens' Advisory Committee membership and applications for new members; • The nominating committee for the TPO and advisory committee chair/vice-chair for FY15-16; • The progression of the Perdido Key Dr. PD&E study.
