HUNTSVILLE, AL—The Pensacola Ice Flyers' four unanswered goals leads to their 4-1 victory over the Havoc in front of the 4,144 in Huntsville early Saturday afternoon.

The Havoc took advantage of an interference penalty to Brandon Blair with Stuart Steffan's power play goal from from Joe Tolles 8:19 into the first. Four minutes and twenty-two seconds later Keegan Flaherty answered back with a goal to even the game at one.

Flaherty would strike again early in the second with a short-handed goal to put Pensacola in control at the 2:28 mark. Later Brett Beebe's power-play goal extended the Ice Flyers' lead by two with assists to Nick Lazorko and Shaun Arvai to end period 3-1 over Huntsville.

Nearing the midway point of the final period, Flaherty would net his third goal unassisted to earn a hat trick. Pensacola hung on to defeat the Havoc with a final score of 4-1.

Flaherty rightfully was named the first star of the game with his three goals followed by Nick Lazorko with two assists and the third star went to Huntsville's Steffan.

Max Strang had another solid showing in net as he turned away 35 of 36 shots faced.

With the win, Pensacola now holds a record of 25-14-6 for 56 points and now jump into second place in the SPHL standings. This of course is subject to change as all other teams in the league have scheduled games tonight. Both Knoxville (55 points) and Columbus (54 points) are within striking distance of the Ice Flyers.

The Ice Flyers will be back on the road to take on the Columbus Cottonmouths next Saturday at 6:30 p.m. You can watch live at Beef O Brady's in downtown Pensacola or 9 Mile Road. All away games are also available online at SPHLLive.com.
