Get help registering to vote

Tuesday is National Register to Vote Day and League of Women Voters of the Pensacola Bay area wants to help you help democracy.

League members will be at the Salvation Army’s main office, 1501 North Q St., and at the thrift store at 3870 N. Davis Highway, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 23 to help register voters.

Oct. 6 is the last day to register to vote in order to vote in the Nov. 4 general election. Visit www.escambiavotes.com for details about you can register to vote in person, online or by mail.

Absentee ballots began going out by mail Sept. 19. The deadline to request a mail or absentee ballot is Oct. 29.
