The Winterfest trolley is up and running, offering a tour of Christmas sites in downtown Pensacola and Historic Seville Square.

The tours operate on numerous evenings leading up to Christmas. You can take the express trip or sign up for tours that include live music as the trolley makes more than a dozen stops.

The sites include an enlarged Nativity scene and a new “Island of the Misfit Toys,” and a bigger entertainment area where passengers can enjoy music and hot chocolate after they complete their journey. Passengers also can enjoy the Cratchit Family, ghosts of Christmas past, present and future, the Cat in the Hat, a Louisiana Christmas and other holiday favorites.

Tickets for "Visit Santa" and "Reindeer Games" are free. Price for other Winterfest events range from $6 for children and $13 for adults for the 30-minute "Santa's Holiday Express" tour on Dec. 16, 17, 18, 22 and 23 to the 50-minute "Winterfest Performance" tour on Dec. 12 ($15 child, $21 adult); and Dec. 19-21 ($17 child, $25 adult).

The not-for-profit Pensacola Winterfest operates the Christmas holiday festival. It raises much of its money by volunteering services for parking areas in downtown events. Winterfest’s two missions are to promote downtown business and provide family-friendly entertainment to Pensacola.
