“A small town guy named Bubba now has two green jackets.”

Now Bubba Watson wants to add to his portfolio, telling the Golf Channel’s “Morning Drive” on April 15 he’d like to visit a Pensacola Blue Wahoos game next week and “maybe try to throw out the first pitch.”

Watson will throw out the first pitch at the April 24 Wahoos game. Watson will appear courtesy of ESPN Radio and First Tee. Fans at next Thursday's game are encouraged to wear green in Watson's honor.

The interview was pitched as the Bagdad native’s only media availability before he goes on vacation with his family at the exclusive Greenbrier Hotel in White Sulphur Springs, W.Va. Watson won his second Master’s April 14 edging Jordan Spieth and Jonas Blixt by three shots.

He savored his first green jacket. This second, Watson says, “should be about letting people enjoy it with me.”

The Milton High School graduate says he has no memory of much of the back nine of his game, especially the last few holes.

“I grabbed Caleb and the next thing you know, I’m crying with a green jacket on,” he says.

He stayed up late to watch a rebroadcast, not to watch the golf, he says, but to help cement the memory of it.

“I was just trying to make pars,” Watson says.
