The 2014 hurricane season has one more storm left in the chamber but it's not aimed for us.
A tropical depression has formed over the Bay of Campeche. The depression is likely to become a tropical storm later today, earning the name, "Hanna."
Currently the tropical depression is about 1,000 miles south-southwest of the Pensacola area in the southern most parts of the Gulf of Mexico. This storm will be around for a while.
The 1 a.m. Wednesday forecast from the National Hurricane Center shows TD 9 crossing the Yucatan peninsula and is forecasted to dissipate in the Caribbean Sea next week.
There is a chance the storm could regenerate and that's when we need to watch the storm's path. But that's 7 days away, which is a long time in hurricane forecasting.
NO WORRIES FOR NOW
The forecast for Northwest Florida weather continues to be perfect blue skies, low humidity, and not a chance or rain. Go out and enjoy the last few days before daylight savings time ends in 11 days.
