What is an IREP anyway?

Turns out the Infinitus Renewable Energy Park is a $35 million, 82,000 square foot facility that employs 110 people in Montgomery.

It is a facility that separates household garbage from recyclable material. It packages the recyclables for release and ultimately will have the ability to capture methane gas generated by the decomposition of organic waste into fuel for compressed natural gas vehicles.

Studer Institute Graphic Editor Ron Stallcup visited the plant on May 28. Here’s what he saw.
