The Pensacola Today and Studer Community Institute staffs are editing, proofing and putting the final touches on the Institute’s education report that begins this Sunday in the Pensacola News Journal. The three-part series will appear over the next three Sundays in the PNJ. The first installment of the report focuses on the lessons learned from the past 16 years of FCAT testing. So how’s the report coming? I asked a few people who have been helping us proof the report what they thought. I started with couple of UWF and Institute folks – Jeff Cassady and Rick Harper- what they thought: [youtube id="iC2pFrUDzPQ"] Then I asked a Melia Allen, a BlabTV and Pensacola Today media consultant and mother of a Washington High School junior, what she thought: [youtube id="0Y84Ej9EwQA"] And finished by asking an Escambia County third-grader what she thought: [youtube id="TuYsN6e-b4Y"] The third-grader? That’s Mia Nickinson, daughter of Shannon Nickinson, the report’s lead editor.
