Local grads earn PSC performing arts scholarships

Pensacola State College has awarded more than $10,500 in scholarships to 22 local high school graduates who will be majoring in performing arts at PSC. Ranging from $300 to $600 per student, the scholarships are granted based on auditions in music or theatre. Escambia High recipients are Charlotte Blessing, Wind Ensemble and Performing Arts; Brandon Eacret, Runge Strings; Allison Goodman, Runge Strings; Jillian Heusohn, Wind Ensemble; and Nina Correa, Wind Ensemble. Milton High recipient is Kaleal Church, Concert Chorale and Jazz Choir. Pace High recipients are Naomi Black, Wind Ensemble; Kaitlyn Taguiam, Wind Ensemble and Performing Arts; and Justin Townsend, Wind Ensemble. Pine Forest High recipient is Rachael Nipple, Theatre. PSC dual enrollment recipient is Katlynn Buchanan, Wind Ensemble and Performing Arts. Tate High recipients are Destiny Cramer, Wind Ensemble; Ethan Millet, Wind Ensemble and Performing Arts; Chad Ratliff, Wind Ensemble; and Honya Richbourg, Wind Ensemble. Booker T. Washington High recipients are Adam Burns, Wind Ensemble; Alexandra Citron, Theatre; Emily Edwards, Wind Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble; Stephanie Tate, Wind Ensemble; and Alicia Umbreit, Concert Chorale and Jazz Choir. West Florida High recipient is Dalton Merritt, Wind Ensemble. West Port High in Beverly Hills, Fla. also had a scholarship recipient, Elisha Miller, Wind Ensemble and Performing Arts.
