PRESS RELEASE -- The Blue Wahoos staff will refurbish the baseball field at Terry Wayne East Park, 1620 W. Jackson St. (between J and K streets). The renovation includes building a pitcher's mound, reconstructing the area around home plate, manicuring the grass, fixing fencing and painting the press box. The work will go on from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19 and full- and part-time staff will be included in the project. The Pensacola Blue Wahoos are committed to giving back to their local community and dedicated fans. The field refurbishment is part of the organization's partnership with Pensacola Training Academy.
