MANNA Food Pantries is teaming up with Winn-Dixie for a four week in-store Community Donation Program to raise funds and awareness for the hungry in Northwest Florida. Customers and supporters are encouraged to visit their local Winn-Dixie and donate at any store register now through March 31, with every dollar directly benefitting MANNA’s pantries and programs in the communities Winn-Dixie serves. “We are so grateful to have partners like Winn-Dixie and Bi-Lo Holdings to help us provide healthy nutritious food to the hungry in our area,” said DeDe Flounlacker, MANNA Food Pantries Executive Director. “As a local grassroots non-profit organization, we depend on the generosity and compassion of our community to feed those in need.” “Winn-Dixie recognizes the important role that we and our loyal customers can play to solve issues and make better, stronger communities for everyone,” said Brian Wright, Bi-Lo Holdings vice president of communications and government relations. “Many of our local organizations work hard to serve and improve their communities, and we’re dedicated to helping them in those endeavors.” Winn-Dixie has a rich history of supporting its neighborhoods and communities through foundation-, company- and vendor-supported charitable donations and programs. The Winn-Dixie Community Donation Program is designed to enhance that giving by building stronger, healthier communities. The company’s associates do more than work in their stores; they are passionate about making their communities great places to live. MANNA and Winn-Dixie encourage customers to address the needs in their communities by making donations at store registers as they do their grocery shopping. Give a dollar. Make a difference.
