Rosa Dukes will always wonder who left with her son the night of May 16, 2011. Broderick Johnson walked out of her Montclair home and soon after was shot to death in another part of the neighborhood. Many people heard or saw something of the crime, but no one will name the shooter. It's enough to break a mother's heart. Escambia Sheriff's Investigators understand her frustration. They too believe someone knows who killed Broderick Johnson, but no one is talking to them. Despite a nearly 70-percent homicide clearance rate this year, deputies say the remaining cases, like many unsolved murders, could be cleared if witnesses would come forward. The grieving mother sat down with Pensacola Today's Mollye Barrows and Photojournalist Michael Spooneybarger to talk about Johnson's death and what she's doing to stop violence in Montclair.
