New bridges in works for Escambia County

Mary Beth Washnock of the West Florida Regional Planning Council updated County Commissioners today on the Rural Work Program five-year work plan.

The plan covers more than $47.3 million in road and infrastructure projects for rural Escambia County planned for fiscal years 2015-2019.

The list of projects with completion dates and costs is here.

The projects to be completed are 13 bridge replacements, two paved shoulder projects, a landscaping project on U.S. 29 near the state line; and two resurfacing projects (U.S. 29 north of Champion Drive and State Road 4 from U.S. 29 to the Escambia River Bridge).
