Nine Mile Road work resumes today

Emergency repairs on Nine Mile Road between the Escambia River Bridge and Scenic Highway will resume Oct. 27. Crews will begin constructing the temporary diversion to maintain and shift traffic as they complete the necessary repair work. Drivers can expect nighttime lane restrictions, narrowed travel lanes and a reduced speed limit today through Wednesday, Oct. 29, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. On Oct. 30, traffic will be shifted to the temporary diversion as crews begin repairs to the westbound outside, right lane and shoulder.  Lanes will be narrowed and the speed limit will be reduced for about one month. Drive carefully.
