Former Escambia High School football coach Willie Spears was the first person to audition for a show on BlabTV during the station’s Talent Search at the Saenger Theatre in October.
Six weeks later, he was the first person BlabTV hired as a result of the search.

“When you watch Willie’s tryout, you’ll understand why we picked him to host our new morning show,” said Claire Campbell, the Talent Search producer.
Spears and Pensacola Today reporter Carly Borden are working on a morning show that will debut on BlabTV in February.
The duo is trying to come up with a name for the show and posted this video asking Pensacolians to help them name their morning program.
