Pensacola neighborhoods on boil-water advisory

The Emerald Coast Utilities Authority has issued a precautionary boil water notice for the Camelford Drive area and North Davis Highway and Brent Lane areas.

Two water main breaks prompted the notice. The affected areas include:

Camelford Drive Camelford Place Westbourne Drive Selborne Place Sheffield Place North Davis Highway, between Brent Lane and Corday Street Corday Street, between North Davis Highway and Lynell Street Phyllis Street, between North Davis Highway and Lynell Street Brent Lane, between North Davis Highway and Lynell Street

Residents are advised to boil water for one minute at a rolling boil, or to use 8 drops of regular unscented household bleach per gallon of water, for water to be used for drinking of cooking. Two independent bacteriological samples have been initiated and the advisory will be lifted as soon as possible. This process routinely takes 48 hours.

ECUA crews have completed repair work and flushed out the lines. The break may mean discolored water in your home’s pipes. Run the tap for a few minutes to flush the lines.
