News about contributors to the upcoming Daily Brew morning show and CyberThon 2015 keeps giving back to the community in today's Short List for Tuesday, Feb. 10. The Daily Brew welcomes community contributors The Daily Brew, which premieres Monday, Feb. 16 at 7 a.m. on BLAB TV, announced local contributors set to join hosts Carly Borden and Willie Spears each week. This is a great opportunity to provide meaningful dialogue from a variety of perspectives,” says Borden. “We are excited about our community contributors. We want The Daily Brew to be a forum for us to talk about current events, community issues, and have fun at the same time.” See the story for the list of contributors here. CyberThon 2015 keeps giving to the community CyberThon 2015, the event which recently promoted technology careers for young people in our community, continues to offer more dividends. Leftover monies from the event will now go to set up scholarships for cybersecurity studies. “Although the final totals are not yet available, there will be significant funds remaining, all of which will be distributed via AFCEA scholarship donations to continue to advance cybersecurity awareness and education in our community,” said Tony Ferguson, whose “day job” is marketing manager and technical producer at Global Business Solutions Inc. Chartres Cathedral Labyrinth design to scale at UWF A full-size replica of the Chartres Cathedral Labyrinth is available to those seeking enlightment, as well as the curious, in the UWF Commons. People are encouraged to walk the exhibit. “It’s to actually experience it.” University of West Florida Associate Professor of History Marie-Thérèse Champagne said. Road work along Ninth Avenue means use care Drivers are being urged to use caution along 9th Ave. in Pensacola as workers perform striping work on the road.
