On the day before Christmas, it was quiet as a mouse. But Pensacola Today’s short list is still in the house. The short list for Wednesday includes: Gulf Power to help Mississippi town struck by tornado Ron Stallcup reports on the storm team and support staff from Gulf Power that is helping its sister company Mississippi Power restore power in Columbia, Miss. More than 50 power poles were down following tornadoes that swept through the area. Read the story here. Back on again is the controversial film “The Interview.” Sony pulled the movie from theaters before it opened last week because of fears of reprisal from South Korea. The film will now be released and will show in selected cities, including the Pensacola area at the Treehouse Cinema in Gulf Breeze. Read the story here.
