NEWS RELEASE — On Aug. 16, Pensacola Symphony Orchestra musicians and Pensacola State College music faculty will be providing a tuition-free audition clinic in preparation for the 2015 Florida All-State Bands & Orchestra.

Middle and high school (grades 7-12) band students auditioning in brass, woodwinds or percussion are encouraged to sign-up for this event.

This free clinic will take place on Aug. 16 at the Ashmore Fine Arts Center at Pensacola State College. Grades 9-10 will meet from 8 to 9:30 a.m.; grades 11-12 will meet 9 to 10:30 a.m.; and grades 7-8 will meet 10 to 11:30 a.m.

The clinic will include:

o   Mock audition presentation

o   Scale preparation strategies

o   Instrument-specific repertoire master classes
