RBI is a Major League Baseball community outreach initiative that was founded in South Central Los Angeles in 1989 to help get and keep troubled youth off the streets. It has since grown into an international organization with over 200,000 youth ages 6-19 participating in baseball and softball in any given year. The goal is to keep inner city kids engaged and improve their chances of graduating high school and possibly going on to college.
