The park will also feature a new, modern playground with ADA compliant fall surface, five exercise stations, resurfaced basketball court and new pavilion for family events. Located in the Northpointe subdivision, the $400,000 redesign of the park began in May 2014, funded by the third round of the county’s local option sales tax. The local option sales tax currently funds many countywide projects and initiatives, including recreational, community redevelopment, infrastructure, public facilities and natural resource preservation.
