It's not the first time Santa Rosa Commissioners have taken the plea for a new courthouse to Santa Rosa voters. The effort in 2002 failed, but Commissioner Lane Lynchard is among the folks who now are making the case that the aging, cramped, security-challenged facility that is a drain on taxpayers and resources that must be replaced. "We've simplified it down (from the 2002 effort) and it's strictly about the courthouse," Lynchard says. "No extras attached....this will lead the way for us to construct a modern courthouse." Watch my interview with Lynchard here. [youtube id="N0l9o6NE-z0"]
