Ferguson’s visit comes in two parts to share The Basics Learning Network with SCI early learning partners and CivicCon. Both sessions will be offered virtually on Zoom.

The morning session includes SCI early learning partners in the community in rolling out The Basics video parent education series. It will be a mix of social service agencies, early education and childcare center K-12-education folks, healthcare and counseling agencies. If your agency serves parents of children ages birth to 3 and you would like to learn more about how you might be able to use The Basics with your families, email [email protected].  

 The second presentation will be at CivicCon. This plenary session is open to the community at large, and is focused around The Basics and how the community as a whole can embrace the principles and use them to help improve outcomes for children.

Ferguson is an MIT-trained economist who has taught at Harvard Kennedy School since 1983, including 15 years as faculty director of the Achievement Gap Initiative.
